has anyone seen a website that helps be with you the cost of owning a hybrid? like
35,000 to buy it -3000 in tax credit +7300 for the battery substitution right with warranty ends and the difference in cost of gas. id like to see something like that kaput down.
ok so, you public may maybe gather from me…
3000 IS the tax credit on a fwd escape hybrid its only 2200 for a 4wd escape hybrid. the battery pack DOES cost 7300 bucks if you dont judge me the Authoritative part number is 8m6z-10b759-a and it does cost over seven thousand dollars, american dollars… so you public are now not as stupid as you were days gone by… and the wits i want this is to help show stupid public how hybrids are a scam to get public who feel guilty to toss away cash.

Why are people rushing to buy Hybrid cars?

cdslsmn questioned:
The Ford Escape Hybrid saves a self seven MPG. With gas at $3.75 per gallon that equates to a savings of less than $500 if they handbook 15000 miles per year. They also lose out on a discount or $2500 by choosing the Hybrid model. The dealer does not cash off the Hybrid and average cash off on a gas burner is about $1800. The IRS gives them a one time tax enter off of $3000. That equates only to about $750 real dollars. My question is this. Why would a name rush out to buy a Hybrid and be green when it expenditure them an superfluous $3000 and they have to handbook it at smallest amount 6 being to break even? Noone keeps a car that long!
mrvadeboncoeur has done his investigate. But his answers seem to be a modest on the skewed side. The tax break is the pledge last on the unfilled list and those who file a tax return with enter offs it is not ususally inane to come into play. It is dead last. The tax credit is also inane to start to disappear with this year. It starts declining this year and will do so for the next few being. I also did not get into the fact that the Nickel Metal Hydride battery is an pledge enviromental nightmare coming up to take place. So go be green all and see how much it expenditure you……..No fault anyone but it expenditure to be green and here is no being paid around it.

Dana1981, Master of Knowledge questioned:
Apparently the tax discount on hybrids in the US is eventually phased out:
“To get the tax credit you’ll have to wait to buy the vehicle until with Jan. 1. If you buy one of the first 60,000 qualifying vehicles that your automaker sells or buy one in the first three months with the tear up in which that sales total is reached, you’ll get the maximum discount allowed for that vehicle. With that, the tax credit starts to phase out.”
http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/nationworld/2002447385_hybridbreak21.html
This is causing the discount on Toyota and Lexus hybrids to be completely phased out by October 1st:

http://www.irs.gov/newsroom/condition/0,,id=169884,00.html
Any self know the reasoning in the rear this phase-out? It doesn’t make any implication to me. It seems like we must continue to encourage the hold of hybrids in any case of how many have been sold.

I am in the market for a new car and I was compelling into account export a hybrid. Primarily in view of the fact that of all the benefits and the model i am attracted in export is eligible for a $3400 tax credit. But, I am the type of self to buy a new car and handbook it for being (of course maintenance up on maintenance).
I subdue wonder how much are the repair cost (insignificant and foremost) for the long run with the glitz and attraction and the warranty expires and the car has 150,000+ miles on it. I can infer it may be pricey to repair or exchange some of the technological hybrid gears in these vehicles. I already know that many self-determining shops do not service hybrid vehicles in view of the fact that of all the advance equipment.
The model I am compelling into account is the 2010 Mercury Milan hybrid

I have filed a 1040A form for 2007, but I just realized that I forgot to aver credit for my Hybrid vehicle. It seems that only 1040 from allows credit fro Hybrid vehicle. So what must I do now to get credit my hybrid vehicle. Do I just file a new 1040 form for 2007, even even if I have already mailed the 1040A form for 2007.
Thankfulness for your answers. From 8910 is associated with 1040 only as here is no place in 1040A to contain credits from Form 8910. Now in view of the fact that I have filed 1040A is it ok to ammend it with a tax credit only unfilled in 1040.
Vehicle is 2007 Toyota Prius and the credit for it is subdue unfilled.

Dustin Y questioned:
I have been needing me a new car for a while. With the way all is unreliable now, I figure a hybrid car would be a most likely extent. A hefty tax credit, lower fuel cost, etc. is indeed appealing. Of course, hybrid cars are often more pricey, you have to buy powerful batteries, etc.
This brings me to my question: Are hybrid cars value the superfluous cost? If they are, which ones are thorough the most cost effectual?
