Will DS Lite components fit into a regular DS shell?

So I have an original DS and the only reason I would want a Lite is for the brighter screens, extended battery life, and I think they have better speakers. Honestly I can’t stand the smaller size of the Lite and how much my GBA games stick out, so I’d rather just make my own hybrid of sorts I’ve seen hacks for the Firmware upgrade for brighter screens but I don’t have much faith in them. If anyone has any idea if this Hybrid DS would be possible then please help me out. A site with a tutuorial would be nice also.
