A way to lower gas prices?
Jedi Master AJ questioned:
Look, gas prices are not inane to come down except here is some serious struggle. Here is equipment out here that will allocate a lithium battery powered car to go 300 miles on a release payment. Must we pressure the regime to mandate such equipment so that we may have an selection apart from gas powered cars and the hybrids? if here are additional options, gas prices will come down.
Must America ship by gripping powered rail?
Must we break down the regime to develop gripping cars.
electricity can be generated by burning coal, and or gas. It may maybe be a fill up or wind powered turbine as well. We are discussion about lower gas prices and reduction our hard earned cash not “green peace.”
also, electricity can be generated by wind farms off coast and in wilderness areas. Lets not snub solar energy any. We have to reflect outside the box. I am inane to pressure my regime to fix this. Most of our cash goes headed for gas and utilities and not headed for our kids and leisure activities.
If we drill for our oil, shouldn’t we the public drill it and not some oil company?
right, capitalism breeds struggle; but, what happens when the oil companies are effective collectively? Bombard is not cheaper than Chevron my friend. They are all in on its collectively.

Will competition lower the price of gas?
hacker67_39_177_230 questioned:
Obama makes a honest top. An American uncommon energy plot which helps to develop and mass yield carbon structure hybrid cars capable of 300 mpg (Google “300 mpg” as this car DOES exist and will be on the market in America next year) and which can be rejuvenated overnight for free from electricity generated on all’s roof top solar panels / horizontal wind turbines all owing to the day and stored in batteries in their garage until used. That such a plot to promote and build this unfilled now logic would lower oil dependence, dramatically cut oil consumption and drop gas prices as proven by the republican’s aver that lower demand is dropping the price 40% these past few months.
Wouldn’t a uncommon energy plot like the one Obama is proposing start a struggle that would lower the price of gas forever?

in additional words, which automaker curently offers the Smoothest & Quietest “I-4″ (4-cylinder) powertrain unfilled? it also wouldn’t hurt if it was sweet decently “peppy” off the line, “flexible” in everyday driving, fuel efficient (no skepticism), and most significantly, reliable. i realize that these engines are the fill in extent for fuel efficiency, but here are some excellent V-6 engines out here that are simple on fuel, too (Honda & Toyota come to mind). On the additional hand, i reflect V-6 engines are (sorry to say it) at a snail's pace dying off and bringing up the rear their fascinate to 4-cylinder engines when gas prices are this high. Commonly speaking, V-6 engines USED to be quieter, smoother, more powerful, and “sportier” to handbook while 4-cylinder engines were seen as life more “crude” with words like “loud,” “approximate,” “slow,” and “dull” appearance to mind. i really hope they aren’t subdue like that.

With gas prices how they are I waste about $50/week on gas. This, collective with the obvious excellent-deed for the background, is making me reflect about maybe reduction a modest superfluous for a Hybrid. What I’m wondering is does it really save you that much cash on gas? I mean, you only use the battery when you’re inane below 25 miles/hour? I travel below 25 miles an hour when I’m pulling out of my driveway and that’s about it. I guess when I’m blocked in conveying but how much gas does that really use?
