2010 Honda Insight test drive opinion?

annonymous questioned:

Days gone by I test horde a 2010 Honda insight. I was very unexcited about the new top. The fastidious vehicle that I horde was a hybrid top with a semi-automatic transmission. Here were many equipment that I loved about it and others not so much.
The interior had a very open and nice top. The seats were very comfortable. I did not like the Gauge cluster even if. The speedometer was digital and would chat from life back lit blue to life back lit green based upon whether the engine were running on combustion or electricity. This I found very distracting. The sign would chat reasonably often. My additional gripe about the interior was the, what i like to call, “THE BLIND SPOT!”. If you have to merge over or even look backward you are faced with a reasonably generous blind spot. This makes life surrounded by of the very open interior feel very cramped.
My additional gripe with the car is the fuel state. The car is rated at 41 and 50 miles to the gallon. THis is absurd. a car that has the ability to run on an gripping motor or a fuel injected motor must be able to run at a minimum of 180 miles just on the battery packs before transferring over to gas. and the gas engine in this car must be able to get in my attitude at smallest amount 60 miles to the gallon.
This is my attitude of the new 2010 honda insight. They must has stayed with the original top of a completely gripping platform.

Windows, air conditioning – who cares?

Here’s the ancient saw that leaving your windows rolled down makes an polished drag on your car, cutting down on fuel efficiency. And here’s the notion that the greatest way to drain your gas tank is by running your air conditioning.

Don’t judge any one.

In two separate studies conducted in 2005, the automotive Web site Edmunds.com and Consumer Intelligence compared the fuel state of both a sedan and an SUV at highway speeds with and without air conditioning and how open windows affected gas treatment.

Ok, my trucking company wants to bed in hydrogen systems(feeding hydrogen to the intake many) on our diesel trucks. They want to bed in them on only 10 vehicles as a test run. What would be the self-determining and disadvantaged factors for this test.

I’m guessing disadvantaged factor is the MPG(Fuel State).
Independents – Driver?(he joystick acceleration and speed), and the hydrogen units themselves?

So how would I use a 4 step hypothesis test to pledge this question(do the hydrogen units boost fuel efficiency and engine emissions, if so by how much).

Also, how may maybe I use a t test to help woth the breakdown?

Toyre_826 questioned:

Engine/Fuel State: Compact SUVs offer both four- and six-cylinder engines, while midsize sport-utes typically come ordinary with six-cylinder engines with V8s as options. All full-size SUVs use V8 engines. The most economical four-cylinder compact SUVs can realize mileage figures in the mid-to-upper 20s, while most six-cylinder sport-utes average in the upper childish adulthood (even if the handful of gas-gripping hybrid models do much better than that). Full-size vehicles commonly get between 12 and 20 mpg.

Is it six cylinders or is it V8?
I know it doesn’t describe the veihcle…it has not anything to do with the viehcle, all i want to know is which is the engine size, six cylinder or V8 and what is a V8?

How will “alternative fuel vehicles” affect the American economy?

Matthew Stewart questioned:

The American state is very disadvantaged on the automobile indutry. We usie vehicles for transportaion of both public and cargo, for regeneration (racing, “road trips”, public drives, etc.), as well as for many particular applications, like ambulances and additional urgent circumstances vehicles.

With glass, rubber, metal, paint, textiles, fuels, and many additional equipment looked-for to make a bestow car, I have heard some eatimate that as many as 27,000 public are looked-for to make one car (with jobs ranging from tapping rubber plants and mining ore to closing assembly of the vehicle).

To a degree due to enironmental concern and to a degree due to governemnt mandates, the auto industry is at a snail's pace tender headed for “uncommon fuel vehicles”. These contain gas/gripping hybrids, “flex fuel” vehciles that can run on ethanol, gripping vehicles, hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, and one company will soon sell (in France) a small vehicle that is powered by compressed air.

What do you reflect will be the equipment of this go
headed for “uncommon fuel vehicles”? Will this chat our state in a clear stylishness (or unenthusiastic or neutral)? Will the equipment be long-term or only shoirt-term?

As a car salesman, I am curios as to where you stand.
How will these vehicles chat our state?
As most answers will be fundamentally based on attitude and/or news articles (in view of the fact that most of us, for For myself included, don’t have well yet to be degrees in economics), Best Pledge will be awarded to the pledge I find most influential and most believable.

Also, delight defense any typos.
GABY, you are assess that some poeple don’t care about fuel state. I sellfor a Ford Lincoln-Mercury dealership. We are in a rural area with a lot of farm land (peanuts, cotton, pecans, corn, are some of the larger crops), so we sell a lot of huge vehicles that are really used for work. We do sell a lot of huge vehicles for persoanl use, too, even if. Some public are downgrading to get better fuel state, but just as many want to any keep the same fuel state or do not care about fuel state.

I eventually want a better vehicle (2nd outcome is on the way), but for the time life,. my 4 cylinder fixed cab Park ranger and my wife’s Ford Focus work just fine. I am 6′3″ and I can handbook any one of our vehicles, so I don’t buy the defense of “I’m huge, so I need a huge vehicle” that I hear on a fixed basis.

I am personally in favor of vehicles with more fuel state, or an uncommon source (like compressed air). I would persoanlly like to see this is a car at smallest amount midesize
(such as Ford Fusion), as well as in a car generous ample to fit for For myself, my wife, and both kids. (Park ranger doesn’t do this)

nelson m questioned:

Hey i’ve got a (nice) question concerning to car tyre pressure and fuel efficiency, and to a top footing. I know that by rising the pressure in your tyres surrounded by wits causes a better fuel state, but why is this so?

Has it got to do with a fall in frictional go up area, or an boost in tyre size???

And in family member to footing, does decreasing tyre pressure boost the amount of centripetal break down which can be exerted upon the cornering mass (the car)???

Are here any relevent physics equations concerning to tyre pressure, or maybe even the kinetic energy looked-for to roll the tyre (ie. why inflated tyres need less fuel/energy).

Any help would be greeeatly valued. I’m reasonably confused really. Thankfulness if you can help, thankfulness if you can’t :)

I do take place to reflect we will have CARS for many more decades, maybe indefinitely, but I reflect it is reasonably possible that with the fuel state crisis and the essential to extent the potential of cars down as a total to a road of all small cars, then a road of all hybrid cars (the first step has already happened in Europe), we force see that in 10-15 being cars with huge engines and 400+ hp may be a business of the past.
