Would it be fiscally responsible to buy a 2009 Escalade Hybrid vs. a 2009 Escalade 2WD (not hybrid)?

My investigate has shown that the fuel efficiently of many hybrids isn’t much better than the 32mpg freeway I get with my Cobalt.
