Is Ford going to produce the Reflex or something like it?
Tyler P questioned:
I know here’s a better opportunity that the Reflex thought won’t make it to production, but do you reflect Ford will yield something like it? I mean the styling is way well yet to be and looks like a unknown thought, has an gripping diesel hybrid engine which facial appearance up to 65 mpg, uses recycled rubber from Nike shoes to make the interior cool down, and solar cells along the roof and headlamps that payment the battery potential the A/C and fans, and also potential the head and tail illumination.

Will my 18watt solar panel charge a car battery and how fast?

I wanna get a solar panel to payment 1 or 2 car batteries. Then join the battery to a 800watt potential inverter so that I can potential a tv. Will the 18watt solar panel payment my batteries and around in how long?
I just wanna use the panel to payment the batteries, no to use the panel frankly with my electronics. Thankfulness for your pledge and help me with that.
What do you think of GM’s new concept, the Chevy Volt?

If you don’t know what I’m discussion about, here’s a link:
http://www.autoblog.com/2007/01/07/detroit-auto-show-chevrolet-volt-thought/
The Volt is in the end a hybrid car with a ton of battery Storage space space. It can run up to 40 miles on battery potential lonely, and you just plug it in at night to give a new lease of life it, so no more gasoline if you handbook less than 40 miles per day.
The battery equipment is not ready yet, but it looks to me like a very excellent thought that may maybe be a top-promotion production vehicle in a few being.
Your view on GM and the Volt?

1. How do I payment it to full room at home?
2. How must I wire the battery so the car will payment my battery when the car is on?
3. Can I use a voltmeter to rate the room of the battery?
Toyota Prius – longevity?

Anyone subdue is driving one of the first Toyota Prius hybrids in the US?
Do you subdue have the same original handbook battery?
How many miles on it now and what year is it?
Do you reflect the Prius was value the cash?
How has the additional fixed mechanical and electrical cleverness fared?
Has the hybrid been any of poorer quality than additional Toyotas compelling into account hardware?

Would it be possible to run a car aided by wind power?

TrippleThreat questioned:
Not a car only running on wind potential. It would be like a hybrid car; sometimes it would use battery potential, sometimes it would use gas potential, and sometimes it would use wind potential. On the highway with 60 to 70+ m.p.h winds comming at you, don’t you reflect somehow we may maybe use that to help potential the car?
I’m not discussion about attaching a sail to the car I’m discussion about wind turbines.
How can a Blu ray disc not be a Digital Video Disc?

john questioned:
I don’t reflect just in view of the fact that Blu Ray has a privileged compression rate and can fit a lot more in rank on it makes it a uncommon plot. Isn’t it just an improved DVD? Isn’t this total Blu ray business a marketing scheme? And the fact that it requires a uncommon kind of player doesn’t mean it is a uncommon plot. When Hybrid cars that ran on battery potential came out we didn’t stop calling them cars, did we?
So how can Blu Ray be a uncommon plot than DVD?
Prius Hybrid heat source?
UXB questioned:
On a Prius when the car is running on the battery where does the heat for defrosting and comfort come from? Is here an gripping radiator to keep up heat in the chill or does the radiator increasingly blow only warm to cool on battery potential?
Thankfulness for the info. Was a modest unusual. I live in a cold area and wondered about where the heat came from when the car was on battery.
Can you use Car radio/CD player when parked and will car battery not be wasted?
pavetGuy questioned:
Parked and motors not running but i want to take note to the telephone logic for model when i park at work and it’s a drizzling or cold day so i can eat surrounded by my car.
I have hybrid toyota camry and it has a potential pin. If you push it once you can turn on the car’s in rank screens and the telephone logic also facility without motors life twisted on. But I’m not sure if this will waste the car battery’s potential.
And if this is not excellent to do, it earnings listening to telephone logic in your car must only bbe top surprise to while driving(When motors are also running)?

Escape Hybrid used as a back-up generator?
November 15, 2009 by MyHybrid
CobMan151 questioned:
My wife & I will be export a used Ford Escape Hybrid in the next few months (if we can find one). We also want to have a generator so we’ll have potential when it goes out (it does too often). Is it possible to run potential from the Escape Hybrid to my breaker box just like I would with a back-up generator? I take upon yourself I would need a very generous inverter. I have seen many huge inverters that convert 12 volts or 24 volts to 110/220 but the battery pack in the Escape Hybrid is ALOT more than 12 or 24 volts. I really reflect this would be a sweet logic in view of the fact that I wouldn’t need to run the generator frenziedly in order to have potential. It would use the battery potential until it started being paid low, then the gas engine (generator) would start up – just as if you were driving. I would take upon yourself this would grant my home with more potential than a $500 generator. Anyhoo, is this possible? Any well-informed partaking would be valued. Thanx!
I was wondering how exactly hybrid cars (The Ford Escape in particular) work?

tennis_chica11 questioned:
I am inane to go car shopping soon and I have my eye on the Ford Escape Hyrbrid. I don’t really know anything about hybrid cars but I was below the impression that it runs on battery potential first and then when that runs out it switches to using gas.
Frequently I am wondering how the battery for the car gets exciting. Do you buy a special charger? Or do you plug it in somewhere? When I get the car I will not have a garage at the place I am income. Do you need a garage so you can plug it in somewhere?
Any set alight you guys may maybe shed on the subject would be much appriciated.
Thankfulness all!
Do hybrid cars save energy?
Lord Fauntleroy-Flantesbury questioned:
If yes, how? How does converting gas energy to battery potential save energy without violating the laws of thermodynamics? If not, what is the top of driving a hybrid?
Is plug in hybrid better than full electric?
November 6, 2009 by MyHybrid

afthefragile questioned:
The largest benefit i see about plug in hybrid cars is that disparate full gripping cars, when your battery runs out, you austerely fill it with gas and it facility. So it doesn’t have the array tribulations that full gripping vehicles seem to have.
But then here’s the added consequence of the gas engine which makes it less efficient than a full gripping and also more pricey.
So are plug in hybrids the join to the possibility or are they just a terrible thought?
Also would it be more efficient to take out the battery back and as a substitution for just have the gasoline engine powering a capacitor or the alternator frankly powering an gripping motor making it more efficient than the plug-in hybrid due to the cut-rate consequence with the lack of a battery pack.
Or does that beat the top of having a car that can run on zero emissions battery potential…??

Are hybrid jet engines a real possibility?
Just Lovely questioned:
Like hybrid cars that utilize battery and gas, will a similar complex be possible for aircraft – maybe fleeting-haul airliners?
on second view – jet engines work due to heated compressd air life debarred at splendid break down, so battery potential would have no look here? maybe just to help in the spinning of the fans ?
As hybrid transportation grows in popularity is their any studies that will show the impact to the passenger?
mark_hensley@sbcglobal.net questioned:
in a serious collision? Will exotic battery potential, like lithium batteries blow up, electrocute everthing in the car, would it be like a cell phone near a gas rank with static?
