notlifebutmagnificent questioned:
I recently left my illumination on for about 5 hours on my 94 Saturn and killed the battery. I got a jump and horde up the road to the grocery store, ran in for 20 summary, and it wouldn’t start. I was wondering about how long I would need to place the car running to make sure that with the next jump, if I park it overnight, it will start the next daylight. Battery is about 3 being ancient.
Also, do I need to really be driving or can I just have the car running? Will it payment the battery any way?

I have read that due to chemicals used all owing to assembly of the electronics that go into the hybrid handbook and batteries that a prius really polutes more than a H2 hummer. the study showed that including production and driving for both the H2 and Prius, that one year driving a prius is equivelent to driving the H2 for 3 being.
How much mining and processing is required to make a lithium battery for a car?

cliffcc078 questioned:
I was just wondering how much mining and dispensation is required to make a lithium battery for these new hybrids. I be with you that these cars go owing to these batteries each 2-3 being. At the price these batteries cost I would reflect that the administer and mining to get the lithium is of poorer quality for the background than the few gallons of gas you save over 2 being. Just wondering.
I question a question, not answering one, and lithium batteries dont last that long, they stand only for about a 1000 cycles before deteriorating, the average self driving to work will consume a logic a day.
Prius battery life/cost?
Gracie questioned:
I’ve had my Prius for 3 being and just last week I got in my car to go to work only to find the battery had died. So, then I had to get it towed to the Toyota place and get it replaced.
I found it odd that my battery would only last 3 being, but then again it’s my first hybrid car. The lady at the Toyota dealership said that that was about how long the batteries lasted- 3 being.
And then I had to pay $120 to exchange it.
I was unusual about this, so I googled Prius battery expenditure and battery life. Well, now what I thought seemed to be pricey for a battery didn’t seem so any longer. Most articles I found and statements from Toyota say the battery must last the life of the car, and the few batteries that are ever replaced ordinarily cost around $2000.
But then I also saw a few articles about hybrid batteries not effective well and a couple of public that have had to exchange their batteries ahead of schedule too.
So I’m wondering- what is the average life of a Prius battery (confidential encounter??) and if my car was below waranty as it must have been, and if the battery expenditure $2000, then what was the $120 or???
I have 2 cars that I can no longer afford. I have tried selling one of the cars but?

unproductively. One of the cars does not show up on my credit report, and a name suggested that I just take it back to the dealership and place it with them, as they say it will not chat my credit in view of the fact that it has been 3 being and not shown up at all (dealer financed). Additional selection was to trade in both cars for one, thus consolidating my payment / indemnity / etc. Any suggestions? (the car I’d like to get, not that it matters much, but is a hybrid vehicle, so I would save some cash on gas… hahaha)

Be grateful you for your suggestions- I’m looking to trade in my gas guzzling SUV for something fuel efficient. Protection rating is also vital, in view of the fact that we plot to give this car to our daughter in about 3 being. The SUV is paid off and value about $14,000. I’d like to find something that may maybe be a one-for-one swap, but that force not be possible. I would prefer new to used, but am keen to deliberate used if the fuel and protection ratings are high ample. I am not incomplete to any fastidious maker, and I’ve already ruled out the hybrids- each one for uncommon reasons.
This car will be used first for a place a stop to-public trip, and with that, will place 10 hours of highway miles per *week*. Fuel efficiency and protection are very vital!
Any suggestions for me to go look at? Be grateful you!

Is the Honda Civic Hybrid battery pro-rated over time?
Larry questioned:
The warranty shows 8 being or 80,000 miles of substitution coverage due to defects. But, I had heard that it only covers 100% substitution for the first 3 being or 36,000 miles. With that, here is a “pro-rated credit” depending on the time form of use (like 50% cost credit if below 48 months, 40% cost credit below 60 months, etc.).

He says if I do, I will not be able to get credit for a home hold or another car in the possibility, as I need to set up excellent credit by paying the loan off for the total 5 being (been paying for 2 1/2 really).
Is this right, or can I pay it off?

I’m thought of export a 2004 Honda Civic Hybrid… I’ve been wanting a Hybrid for a while, but my dad heard somewhere that the special batteries used to run the car (not the typical car battery) have to be replaced each 3 being and they cost $3000. Is this right? I have oral with public who have Toyota hybrids, and they all say this isn’t, and they’re warrantied if they do break. Does any self have any info on the facts? I want a hybrid, but I don’t want to pay $3000 each few being for a new battery!
