hybrid cars

Birthday Persinowitz! asked:

or for that matter designing and manufacturing hybrid cars!!!
You know there were tremendous tax breaks for the Hummer, why not for Hybrids that will solve problems for our country and boost US auto jobs (((employment))) get us off Middle East and Hugo Chavez Oil!!
I have a Prius, it works well. Its so quiet you can’t hear a thing.
Maybe it would be worth it to fund research to make them better, I bet if they try they can do it!! I bet if the Government gives them incentives it will help!!
TweeQ: Only China could come up with carpets made of feces and lead sippy cups lol!!!!

Why would they give tax breaks on hybrid cars? That just makes way to much sense for the Govt. to do it.

WHAT A LAUGH DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE THEY WILL DO THAT.EVEN SO IF THEY DO, THEY;LL MAKE THE PRICE PACKAGE TO HIGH FOR THE COMMON PEOPLE. JUST SO THAT THEY WON;T HAVE TO GIVE THE TAX BREAK.

When they start building hybrid cars that WORK. I know a guy who owns a Prius, and a guy who owns a Corolla from the same year. Guess which one gets better gas mileage today.

As soon as they come up with a V-8 powerful enough to pull the loads and trailers I need to pull, that is a hybrid engine, I’ll look into ‘em.

  4. golfer7 says:

Actually they’ve done that via tax credits. What’s bizarre is that they phased them out; i.e., reduced the credits as “X” number of hybrids were sold. I guess they couldn’t stand to give permanence to so intelligent a program.

When china brings their new automobile to American soil?

I’d hate to be the first American on the block with one.

For one reason or the other, I bet it has “constant problems” and lead paint, toxic fumes, feces in the carpet fibers, chemicals that cause cancer and death…

the recall list will live in infamey

Solar power in the sunshine states make more sense. There are factories that are growing solar array’s on their roof tops, and it’s a great start.

Golfer7 is right – I was just going to say that myself…

But that kind of thing is exactly what we would have expected from Al Gore as President… but we’ll never really know if he would have implemented those kind of things.

    Another democrat might do it.

But the thing is – this is exactly why people should NOT vote for Huckabee… his website is full of all this “I’m a good Christian who cares about the environment” crap but he really doesn’t… just ask anyone in Arkansas. He was an oil lobbyist who worked for a televangelist.

He knows that his base won’t do the research.
