John S questioned:

would the increased air drag take away from gained energy?

You may maybe make it so it can be feathered when you want to accelerate, and use it for a drag brake on down hill stretches. How about retractable, too?

The air drag would be too much except you found a way to use the drag already bent by the car.

Resistive wind would be used for making energy!
    It’s a very excellent thought!!!

It would only give you a gain in by and large energy if it was used only when decelerating – additional wise, the energy looked-for to push it owing to the air would negate any energy that it bent.
