I am told that the Hybrid cars when they are running in the Gripping MODE ! only. The air cond. will not be operating.Right or Flawed ??

    It depends on which hybrid.

    Honda’s hybrids (Civic Hybrid and Insight) do demand the gasoline engine to be turning to potential the A/C, in view of the fact that their air conditioning compressor is belt-obsessed by the engine.

    On the additional hand, hybrids using the Potential Tear Contrivance logic (Ford, Toyota, Nissan and Lexus) ordinarily have an electrically-obsessed air-conditioning unit (not belt-obsessed by the gasoline engine), so their A/C facility just fine when the car is running in gripping mode (gasoline engine off).

    My ‘07 Prius is one of these. Its electrically-powered A/C facility normally no matter what mode the car is running in.
