I don’t reflect they are compelling into account it in the near possibility but I’m sure they are compelling into account hybrids or full electrics in the far possibility, say 10+ being.

As gas prices rise, NASCAR is inane to be below more and more scrutiny as a “wasteful” sport. In this case, shifting to hybrids would be a way to boost NASCARs image and be excellent for the sport. Additional run are already exploring uncommon potential sources (ethanol, diesel, regen braking, etc.) so NASCAR must let themselves get too far in the rear the ball.

Hybrid racecars in todays equipment would be tiresome but not impossible. I reflect the limiting factor would be batteries. They may maybe swap out battery packs all owing to pit stops, but for now they would be really heavy, or really pricey, or both. of course, you may maybe add a small gripping engine to the current car and it would be a hybrid, and have more potential! I reflect a production block 4 cyl or v-6 putting out 400 or so hp and an gripping motor adding 100-200hp would be excellent.

Nascar cars run 358 cubic inch max small block v8 engines. These engines are based off of the Chevrolet 350, get out of 360, Ford 351w, and Toyota developed an engine to meet the rule requirements, and with most engines making accurate to 1000hp combined, here is no way hybrid equipment can generate that potential.

These engines use overhead valve cylinder heads, a carburetor, and top as the detonation source; most of these technologies and the engines the racing models are based on went out of production in the 80′s and 90′s so that would be alot of transmittable up to do. Also compelling into account these cars average 170-180 mph laps at the larger tracks with races consisting of around 330 laps for a 500 mile race, no hybrid equipment exists that may maybe soubriquet that type of potential productivity or endurance. We don’t even run ethanol or bio-diesel like alot of the open veer and sports car run do now.
