Did you know that you can save fuel and run your car on water

fuel efficiency

Sabrina J asked:

The fuel efficiency of cars in the US is measured in miles/gallon. However, the rest of the world uses kilometers/liter. A car company advertises the fuel efficiency (“mileage”) of a new model at 45 miles/gallon. What is its fuel efficiency in kilometers/liter? Note: 1 mile = 1.609 kilometers, and 1 gallon = 3.785 liters.

  1. Here2Help says:

    45 miles/gallon * 1.609 kilometers/mile * 1 gallon / 3.785 liters = 19.129 kilometers/liter

  2. Alexis says:

    so 1mile/gallon = 1.609km/gallon = 1.609km/3.785 liters
    easy enough
