With a drop charger, overnight. With a hasty charger, a couple hours.
Don’t guess the battery to come back to life. Car batteries do not like to be off a charger for a long time. Plot on replacing the battery if it does not hold a payment.
You can payment it a number of uncommon ways.
DO NOT run the car and hope for the alternator to payment it. The alternator is only used for maintaining a payment, not for give a new lease of life. This will in some circumstances (especially with fords) yield the alternator to singe and fail.
Go to your community Advance Auto Parts store. They can toss it on the quick payment (35 summary), the Full payment (4 hours), or the 1 amp drop charger and place it overnight. EDIT: this is a free service, testing as well.
If you’re preparation on letting the car sit, I’d invest in a 1 amp drop/maintenance charger that way this won’t do again itself again.
car batteries must be exciting on the lowest amperage unfilled over night with the cell caps popped open and in a ventilated area.
you can payment one on a privileged amperage but it wont be a deep payment payment, just a go up payment (will only let you use a instant give of 12 potential volts but wont last long)
its best to payment them overnight.
First try out the fill up level in the battery. Make sure its not unfilled,if its unfilled it will explode while charging it.Once the fill up level is full care of you can payment the battery on low payment for maybe 3 hrs it depends on the rate of payment. 500 amp charger on low must be maybe 150 amps or so but always payment on low payment to keep battery from being paid hot,
