Could be a good thing if you gotr the full coverage warranty. It covers many componenets that the factory warranty doesn't.

This just begs the question; why didn't you wait until the factory warranty expired before you purchased the extended warranty. You just blew away two years interest on your $1200.00
And NO, they won't give you back your money. You have a signed contract and the salesman has probably already spent the commission that he earned selling this to you.

I bought a new car and bought it to . I was allowed to cancel it within 30 or 60 days . After that they prorate it and I would lose a little . They would not rewrite the loan so I to had a higher payment by 50 $ so I will just pay off the loan faster . You can probably cancel it check with the Finance Manager as I did . Also you can buy a warranty through another company just be care full and check them out first .Some are advertised online . You can also go through another Saturn dealership anywhere in U. S. and see if they will deal with you. By the way I paid 1500 for mine . I should have known better , dealerships make money off these as a last ditch effort to boost profits on a sale .Fifty 50% is not unusual . I bought a Toyota so was not worried about the Reliability just pressured into buying it; believed all the hype . Good Luck !

It's just like your car insurance, nice to have when you need it. As a mechanic I can tell you todays cars are pretty well built, but, let's say your ABS pump goes out. Some of these are $1000 alone. A transmission can be $2500. So, yeah if you need it it's a good thing.

Having a warranty is never a bad thing. Especially when we're talking about Hybrid's which haven't been readily available for very long.

It sounds about right for the price, and if something important craps out on you after so many KMs/years you may be thankful you got the extended warranty.

i think with something we use everyday warranties are a good thing. lets face it, even normal car parts and labor are expensive so i wouldnt sweat about it, i think it was a smart move.

you got screwed. If you had put $1200 in a bank account. you'd be prepared for any major repair to the vehicle. Then in 5 years if nothing had gone wrong, you'd have $1200 toward your next vehicle.

The reason the dealership pushed so hard to sell you this is because they knew they would make money on it.
