Does anyone own a Highlander Hybrid?
truth is… questioned:
We are thought of purchasing a Highlander Hybrid, but read many reviews that with 4000+ miles, the fuel efficiency drops from 27+mpg down to 12-18mpg. Does anyone have any encounter with this? I want to know if this happens to most public or if it’s just public who aren’t using the engine efficiently?
How difficult is it to own a Prius?
Sandra C questioned:
OK, this may signal ridiculous but I live in an area that gets flooded about double a year, and I’m wondering if the prius is above all more prone to fill up hurt (as in the hurt done when inane owing to a high fill up pond all owing to the drizzling time of year) than additional vehicles? Also, how much just so is that battery it uses and how often does it have to be altered? Is it hard to find a mechanic that will know how to work with a hybrid? I’m attracted in export a used car, probably 2006 2007 ish. If anyone has any tips for a first time car buyer, they’d be greatly valued!
Is Ford going to produce the Reflex or something like it?
Tyler P questioned:
I know here’s a better opportunity that the Reflex thought won’t make it to production, but do you reflect Ford will yield something like it? I mean the styling is way well yet to be and looks like a unknown thought, has an gripping diesel hybrid engine which facial appearance up to 65 mpg, uses recycled rubber from Nike shoes to make the interior cool down, and solar cells along the roof and headlamps that payment the battery potential the A/C and fans, and also potential the head and tail illumination.

Toyota Prius MPG Potential. With modifying?
l_aspenwall questioned:
hey guys whats up.
Im a college kid, and me and my dad are extremely into Hybrid and EV equipment. We are being paid a Prius for my protect soon.
back to the prius.
Im the researcher, but i was wondering what you can do, to use the smallest amount possible gas in the prius. Isnt here a mph limit on the prius for gripping? like it goes from rest to 15-18mph and then kicks on the gas motor to potential it? We want to know if you can dual that to say 30-35mph (habitual city speed limit) somehow. We kind of have some marvel up dreams, and i need help to know what is realistic and what isnt.
- Adjust to make it a Plug-in Hybrid
- Get the prius to go up to 30+mph on gripping lonely.
- Superfluous Batteries for superfluous Storage space space.
- Perhaps add Solar Panels on roof, stem, hood. (where ever best)
Our marvel thought is to plugin to max payment. Superfluous batteries for total array. Be able to use zero to tiny amount of gas on round trips 15mi and less (work, grocery store,) solar to payment while parked at store/work.
Edit: More Details:
We really would like 100% electricity for really community driving. Work is 1mile away. Utmost Equipment are only 14-15mile round trip (Walmart, mall, Lowes, huge equipment). Grocery store is 1 miles away…Most all communting my protect does is surrounded by 1-8 miles. Bank is 2 miles away. Lots of modest driving.
Any interval driving or any place where the mph is 40+ would observably be gas powered or gas helped.
I also be with you that cars have Telephone logic, Wipers, Huge Headlights and Tail Illumination…etc etc. which eats battery.
But we’d be keen to fill the stem with batteries and maybe the back seat even (just one side) if looked-for. She now drives a Grand Procession rated at 18mpg? city (18 experimental by us) and 24mpg highway (23 experimental by us). No more kids for her, so she doesnt need the Prius to have all the room availible.
Anyways i just need some Limits on what can be done (no matter how hard) and perhaps may maybe links where public have done ‘nice’ material
Thankfulness again
I have a brandnew toyota corolla 2008 and milage is low. pls help?
Nimesh K questioned:
its subdue run only 2000 kms. according to the site it must give 26/36 mpg. Somehow i have another mix-up. In digital measuring device it indicates 7.5 Km/L and when i really pump fuel and calculate the trip interval using trip 1 and 2 it shows about 6 km/L. Delight tell me wheather the interval is shown in miles or kilometers in trip interval. Would the fuel efficiency get better as vehicle gets older

I have looked at the fuse box and cannot find the assess fuse to take out for these occasions. I have a name that can add a batter for me if I find the assess fuse or circuit. 08 Prius or Civic?
Matt17 questioned:
Must we get the 2008 Hybrid Prius or the 2008 Civic EX. At 21,500 the prius expenditure about 1,000 more than the civic. but the MPG is 45 to 29. The only business that doubts me is the time, warranty, and cost of battery.
my concern is the battery, how long is it roofed below warranty ?
Are these true drawbacks of a Toyota prius or just myths?
Paul questioned:
Hi! I am in the market to buy a used car and over the last couple of days I did some serious amount of investigate on couple of cars. But the car that spellbound my eye is Toyota Prius (2001 model for only $4500!) I reflect for that price it’s a deal. But when I told me friends they told me about some drawbacks of a hybrid car. They told me that–
1) In view of the fact that hybrids are new, I can’t get them repaired in an run of the mill mechanical shop. I have to go to Toyota dealers in order to get the car repaired, in case I run into any problem.
2) The battery of a hybrid car goes terrible surrounded by 1 year or two or by 200k. But the largest concern is that the battery is EXTREMELY pricey (about $2000-$3700).
3) DMV doesn’t handle hybrids as fixed cars. It takes about 1 week to two to get the ticket plate for hybrids while the fixed cars take only 2-3 days.
4) Parts for the hybrids are EXTREMELY pricey and they are very hard to find.
So, my questions are:
Are those myths right??
Must I buy a Prius or go with Honda civic (2001 model) or corolla (2001 model) or Toyota ECHO (2002 model)??
What is the cost to charge the new plugin hybrids overnight?
monkja questioned:
Here are new hybrids appearance out in the possibility, which will allocate you to travel 40 – 50 miles before the gasoline engine kicks in. My question relates to the cost of electricity to give a new lease of life the batteries that will grant this figure.

What is the towing capacity of a 2006 Toyota Highlander Hybrid 4WD-i?
Brandon C questioned:
I was wondering if this vehicle can tow a 22 foot pontoon boat and trailer with a 60HP motor (it was from around 2000, not sure on that model). I’ve Google’d and see that the room force be 3500 lbs, but in the manual it lists 3500 lbs and 2000 lbs.
The bottom line is, I want to know if it can tow a 22 foot long pontoon.
The pontoon is a “Suntracker” with a 60HP mercury outboard.

Has anyone found a discrepancy on GPS miles vs. odometer miles?
Chiyansoy questioned:
I veteran a couple of portable GPS cleverness hostile to the odometer of my Highlander hybrid and found about 3 to 5 miles difference while driving on the freeway. City driving showed less difference, but. GPS showed less interval traveled. Has Toyota or additional manufacturers made any observations bout this or are this only one of its kind to my vehicle.
The implication over an total cycle is closer use of warranty mileage and also downgrading of vehicle based on use.
Toyota Prius, Plug in Hybrid?
Andy Dao questioned:

H GIII questioned:
Hi All,
I have a strain new camry hybrid 09′ with approx. 4K miles on it. I am pleased with the by and large normal Apart from the ‘try out engine set alight’ feeler that comes ON each now and then. I already took the car to the toyota dealership THRICE (
