How can I connect my hdd panasonic digital handheld camcorder to the ac adapter? Tech support couldn’t help me?

It’s a 40gb, 42x optical zoom, has well yet to be ois, is a hybrid with discretionary sd card slot. the ac adapter is really just a battery charger but somehow I am infer to join it to the camcorder to be able to upload any record to my pad and its making me mad.
