How expensive are repairs to hybrid cars? Would the cost be the same as it is for gas fueled cars ?

Did you know that you can save fuel and run your car on water
gussie questioned:
How much energy it takes to “give a new lease of life” a plug in car. How long does it need to give a new lease of life ? How does it impression on your hydro bill ? I don’t handbook, just unusual.Thankfulness for any partaking.
I’m sorry about any thumbs down. I be grateful each of you for compelling the time to pledge my question.
May maybe you tell me where you would give a new lease of life a hybrid car and how long would it take.
Did you know that you can save fuel and run your car on water

Much of a hybrid car is just so the same as a gas fueled car as it subdue has a gas engine. As far as i know it must be about the same for repairs – Maybe if a battery or something fails it force be pricey but they are leap to have a warranty anyway. I wouldn’t worry about it.
The Prius expenditure the same or cheaper than additional Toyotas, which are reasonably low-cost compared to Honda & GM who make more cash out of emergency parts than the original car.
The Prius hybrid parts are garunteed for 10 being/80,000+ miles so no cost at all for most of it’s life. The regenerative braking earnings here is less wear on the brakes.
Unfortunatly here are no comercial plug-in hybrids avaialable that can be rejuvenated at home.
Gripping cars are use much less energy than infernal combustion which waste about 80% of their energy in heat nad blast
Well, if you are discussion part for part, they must be copy to a akin conventional car if conventional parts were used (i.e. springs, shocks, hoses, belts, etc…)
Its only when you get into parts that use exotic equipment (titanium, magnesium, aluminum, etc) for cut-rate consequence in the hybrid that you will pay more for…IF they break. I’m discussion suspension parts, body panels, and wheels – not the battery and gripping motor unit parts, those have a special warranty as earlier mentioned.
One more business to deliberate. You can’t just take it any Joe Schmoe repair shop. They must be Hybrid Qualified, and they leaves you with the Stealership’s service department high labor excise.
go to Edmund.com. The prius expenditure about $.47/mile to own while additional gasoline vehicles like Fit, Aveo, versa, accent cost 20% less. so the prius is extremely pricey to own.
1 hybrids have a gas engine and dont demand a stop to give a new lease of life
2 most non hybrids ie all Gripping cars need 6 to 12 hours to completely give a new lease of life…very terrible if you need to go at a moments see
3 where to payment…to be sure here the rub…without cars needing to be exciting no one will set up chargers…and why pay for chargers if theres no brilliant cars to payment..
4 with hybrids most workings will not work on them…you r blocked at the pricey rip off dealer
Hybrids cost a bit more to repair if the electrical logic, the hybrid motor/handbook teach or the batteries gives out.
But, if the service records for the Prius are any indication current hybrid systems can be very reliable and last for 200,000+ miles so they may never need repairs.
That does not mean they do not need repairs.. Hybrids and all cars will need tires, brakes, filters altered, oil changes (if hybrids) and additional maintenance like any additional car!
As to your additional questions: you know that here are no “our plug-in” cars (whether hybrids or pure gripping cars) on the market yet so the estimates will be approximate.
Plug-ins will most liable be able to be rejuvenated at home. It will be very inconvenient and they will not sell too well if this selection is not unfilled
I have seen estimates that it will only take pennies ($0.25 to $0.75 US) to give a new lease of life a plug in car overnight at home. Even if I suspect it will be more. In any case it will probably be much less than the cost of gasoline.
Current estimates are that it will take 6-8 hours to give a new lease of life a plug in with habitual 120 V US household current. This can be shortened to 2-3 hours with a 220V potential give which is also unfilled in all US homes (this is the high voltage circuit powers gripping dryers, ranges, ovens and air conditioners). So here may be a need for a littel bit of rewiring to place a 220V circuit in housing garages.
BTW 220V is really habitual household current in many European and Asian countries.
A car will be “plugged in” to run as an gripping car. It may also be a hybrid. Give a new lease of life era and expenditure can be calculated in a similar way for any vehicle that is plugged in and will be disadvantaged upon the type of battery and more significantly its room. The ordinary 26 lead acid battery pack for the EV1 was rated at 18.7 kwh or 60 Ah at 312 volts. Charging time for a exact payment is plotted as 5.5 to 6 hours with the 220 volt 6.6kw charger.1 6.6kw x 6 hours gives you an energy cost of 39.6kwh an 80% payment would be about 1/2 that. At the extremes it seemed to become less efficient. An 80% payment would demand about 1/2 this amount. An 80% payment is about the electricity to run a 10,000 BTU dialogue box AC for around 12 hours. Cost is disadvantaged upon the community rate. A national housing average is around 12 cents / kwh. The total cost would be approximately $2.40 for 20Kwh of electricity. This was ample to go about 50 to 100 miles depending upon the type of driving. This would be thorough the poorest type of battery pack.
Encounter with the Toyota Prius suggests that “hybrid cars” may be “low-cost” on repairs. But it may not be apparent if this is just excellent engineering by Toyota for the Prius or if hybrid cars are in general low-cost. It would be deactivate intuitive to judge that they would in general be cheaper.
A decently gripping vehicle has very few tender parts compared to one powered by an domestic combustion engine (ICE.) Tender parts wear, break and need to be replaced. The measly number of tender parts in an gripping vehicle lends itself to a cheaper maintenance confirmation even before you deliberate oil and filter changes. A analogous hybrid (like the prius) has even more tender parts than an ICE and gripping vehicle collective in view of the fact that it has to also mesh these parts collectively.
Additionally, the special equipment that is crammed in to a hybrid earnings that not all can work on them and it may be more tiresome to chat the looked-for parts. All of this suggests that a privileged repair cost is evenhanded over the life of the hybrid vehicle.
they must cost the equivalent of gas fueled cars
Depending on how reliable the parts are in the car it may maybe be low-cost or pricey. Just now Hybrids are appearance out of warranty time and now is the splendid test. Hybrid cars have 2 potential plants with just about double as many tender parts then your fixed conventional car. Hybrid cars have always been a joke they cost more then a Honda civic to pay for and run per mile. They soon will be a business of the past as soon as the general public becomes more educated in how they work. Till now tree huggers and socialites wanting to stay in popularity have been export them.
